Antonio Brown accepts plea deal in attempted murder case, will avoid prison

Former NFL star Antonio Brown has agreed to accept a plea deal in his second-degree attempted murder case that will see him avoid a prison sentence, his attorney has confirmed.

Under the terms of the agreement, Brown will instead serve a period of probation, sparing the one-time Super Bowl champion from incarceration over the serious charge.

Brown, who enjoyed a turbulent but decorated career as one of the most talented wide receivers in professional football, has faced persistent legal and personal difficulties since his departure from the sport.
