White House bars CNN, MSNBC and Politico from press pool

The White House has banned CNN, MSNBC and Politico from the presidential press pool, the rotating group of journalists granted close access to the President for the purposes of daily news coverage.

The move follows complaints by President Donald Trump about the way the three outlets have reported on his administration. The press pool traditionally provides pooled coverage that is shared across all news organisations when full media access is not possible.
