Fishermen pull elephant calf from Teesta river and reunite it with its herd

An elephant calf was rescued by fishermen after being swept away by strong currents in the Teesta river while attempting to cross with its herd near a barrage. The animal was separated from the group as the water's force proved too powerful for it to resist.

Local fishermen spotted the struggling calf and moved swiftly to intervene, pulling it to safety before it could be carried further downstream. The dramatic rescue was captured on camera, with footage showing the young elephant being guided to the riverbank.
