Ex-councillor shot multiple times by gunmen on motorbike in Patna colony

A former councillor was shot multiple times by two men riding a motorbike in a residential colony in Patna, in an attack that unfolded in approximately five seconds.

The victim, Anil Yadav, sustained four to five bullet wounds to his hands, lower abdomen and legs, according to police. He was identified as the husband of the sitting councillor of Ward 24.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances behind the targeted shooting. The assailants fled the scene immediately after opening fire, and a search is under way to locate them.
