Iran awaits US answer on seven-day plan to reopen Strait of Hormuz

Iran is waiting for a United States response to a seven-day roadmap it says would end the current conflict, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and resume nuclear negotiations, Tehran has announced.
Iran's Foreign Minister said the choice now rests with Washington, framing the proposal as a concrete and time-bound offer that his government is ready to implement within a week of American approval.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most critical shipping lanes, through which a significant share of global oil supplies passes. Any prolonged closure would send shockwaves through international energy markets.
No response from Washington had been confirmed at the time of reporting. The proposal places the diplomatic burden squarely on the United States, with Tehran signalling that it has set out its terms and is prepared to act swiftly should an agreement be reached.
