More than 1,700 errors discovered in Odisha school textbooks

More than 1,700 errors have been found in school textbooks used across Odisha, raising serious concerns about the quality of educational materials being provided to students in the state.

The mistakes, which span factual inaccuracies, typographical errors and linguistic lapses, were identified following a review of the books. The scale of the problem has prompted questions about the processes by which the texts were compiled, edited and approved before reaching classrooms.
