Bihar Cabinet clears two new universities for Patna and Begusarai

The Bihar Cabinet has approved the establishment of two new universities, one each in Patna and Begusarai, in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Mata Sita Women's University will be set up in the state capital Patna, while Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' University will come up in Begusarai, named after the celebrated Hindi poet.

The two universities were among 24 decisions taken at the cabinet meeting, reflecting a broad legislative agenda pursued by the Bihar government in a single sitting.
