NTA bars Latur coaching centre owner's son from NEET-UG for two years over paper leak

The National Testing Agency has debarred Shivraj Motegaonkar, son of a coaching centre owner in Latur, Maharashtra, from sitting the NEET-UG examination for two years in connection with the widespread paper leak scandal that shook the country's medical admissions process.

According to investigators, Motegaonkar allegedly paid ₹5 lakh to P.V. Kulkarni, a member of the NTA panel responsible for setting the examination questions, in exchange for advance access to chemistry questions from the paper.

The Central Bureau of Investigation is pursuing the case, which has raised serious concerns about the integrity of one of India's most competitive entrance examinations, taken each year by hundreds of thousands of aspiring medical students.
