MANUU embroiled in sexual harassment row after ICC report withheld from complainant

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is facing scrutiny over its handling of a sexual harassment complaint, after it declined to provide the complainant with a copy of the Internal Complaints Committee report into the matter.

The complainant subsequently wrote to the Department of Higher Education and the Ministry of Women and Child Development seeking intervention, but neither approach is understood to have produced any concrete action.

The refusal to share the committee's findings has raised questions about transparency and accountability at the institution, with critics arguing that denying a complainant access to the report that concerns them undermines the purpose of the grievance process.
