Police probe whether Delhi park was gang-rape hunting ground

Police in Delhi are investigating whether Aastha Kunj park served as a regular hunting ground for three men accused of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl in the area. The inquiry follows a deeply troubling assault in which the suspects allegedly posed as police officers to gain the victims' trust.

According to investigators, the girl and a male companion were sitting in the park when the three men approached them, falsely identifying themselves as law enforcement officers. The men threatened the male companion before taking the girl to a secluded, unlit part of the park, where she was assaulted.

After the attack, the accused warned the victim not to report the crime to anyone. Officers are now working to establish whether the accused had targeted the park on previous occasions.
