Yogi launches zero-commission taxi platform and farmer welfare scheme in Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh chief minister unveiled Bharat Taxi and a new agricultural prosperity programme in a dual launch event.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched two flagship initiatives — Bharat Taxi, a zero-commission ride platform for drivers, and the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, aimed at improving the welfare of the state's farming community.
Under Bharat Taxi, drivers who register on the platform will pay no commission and will be entitled to social security cover worth ₹5 lakh, Adityanath announced. The scheme is designed to provide greater financial security to taxi operators who have long faced deductions under conventional aggregator models.
The Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana is intended to enhance the prosperity of farmers across the state, though further operational details of the agricultural programme are expected to be released separately.
