Andhra Pradesh gets rainfall relief after severe drought driven by El Niño

Parts of Andhra Pradesh have received welcome rainfall following a prolonged period of severe drought, as a sudden shift in weather conditions offered relief to communities that had been struggling under a significant rainfall shortfall. The deficit had been widely attributed to the El Niño phenomenon, which has disrupted monsoon patterns across the Indian subcontinent this season.
