Delhi man arrested for drugging and raping woman he lured with job promise

A Delhi woman aged 41 was allegedly drugged and raped by a man she had known for approximately two years, police said, after he exploited a promise of helping her find work to gain her trust.

The accused, identified as Deepak Bansal, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, is said to have befriended the woman around two years ago and repeatedly assured her he would help secure her a job. Investigators allege he used that relationship to carry out the assault.

Bansal has since been arrested in connection with the case. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the attack.
