BJP says EC internal communication proves democratic institutions are working

The BJP on Tuesday declared that communication between the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners was evidence of a functioning democracy, pushing back sharply against Opposition allegations of institutional failure.

The party rejected charges levelled against the Special Intensive Revision process, arguing that the Supreme Court had upheld its legal validity on multiple occasions. BJP spokespersons said critics were attempting to undermine public confidence in electoral institutions without constitutional or legal basis.

The ruling party maintained that internal deliberation within the Election Commission reflected transparency and institutional health rather than any cause for alarm, and called on the Opposition to respect the judiciary's repeated pronouncements on the matter.
